The hablons were used mainly as clothing and mosquito net and its a process of weaving using a handloom .The term hablon comes from the cebuano word for blanket or habol .And the term of hinablon is also used for the hand-wooven fabric.

The batik of malaysia there most popular motifs are leaves and flowers. Malaysian batik depicting humans or animals are rare because islam norms forbid animal images as decoration however the butterfly theme is common exception.
