1. What I have learned about.
Filipino arts are unique because of regionalization. Because the country is an archipelago, there is no unifying culture that binds all ethnic groups together. However, that actually makes the pHilippines more interesting.
2. What I love about my artwork is that the details are so light, they look childish actually with only basic elements like curves, sticks,dots, and basic colors without the need to blend to make it realistic. However, the message of my artworks are stronger than the visual aesthetics.
3. What's unique about my design and the design from the arts and crafts of MIMAROPA and Visayas?
MIMAROPA and Visayas’ artworks and design are unique which is already given because of the cultural roots which are exclusive. Their tradition brought on for centuries and is perfected over time. Also, they utilized local materials available to them like using marbles, abaca, and coconut husks.
Their designs are also rooted from their beliefs whether because of Christianity or pre-Filipino religion.
4.What I can do to take pride a Filipino?
Support Local. Wear Local. Consume Local. Our culture is already thriving on its own due to gloablaisation. Consuming and appreciating your own is very helpful.
