As a student, National Service Training Program or NSTP is important to me because I can acquire various principles that are helpful development as a person in relation to my community. This program is useful because students train to become well-disciplined and efficient. NSTP courses are effective in teaching self-improvement, performance, and community involvement. The main goal of the NSTP law is to uphold the role of the youth in nation-building. It empowers the youth to become civic or military leaders and volunteers.

These are the three program components of NSTP:
- Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
- Literacy Training Service (LTS)
- Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)
