Decision-Making Process
Decision-making is the process of making choices or identifying rightful decisions in a given situation. There are a lot of factors that can affect the decision of a person which includes careful assessment, data gathering, alternative solutions, and proper judgment of the possible outcomes.
Problem: I was asked if I should join the school organization or not.
Decision: It was voluntary but still I joined the organization.
- Did you get the rightful results?I know that I did the right decision because I did not regret anything. I learned a lot and enjoy the company like we are just one whole family.
- What were the consequences when you made that decision?We are actually asked to give a small amount as a registration fee or donation. As a student, I was having a hard time looking for the amount because the money that my parents gave are enough for allowances. I did everything to collect and earn money to pay the registration fee. It was a painful consequence after a little sacrifice but I never regret it.
- Did it contribute to your personal growth in any areas of life (social relationship, academic performance, career pathing, health, spiritual, etc.)I became responsible especially for my favorite organization which is an environmental campaign that aims to promote protection for mother Earth. I learned a lot and was able to realize that little by little will do all the trick. The simplest gesture anyone can make could actually make a huge impact on the surroundings.
- Did it consider the common good?Yes. Not only that is was it for the common good but also it resulted better than what we are expecting. We are so happy that more and more students realized the importance and benefits of joining school organizations with different goals. It is so heartwarming that we were able to influence a lot of students and make them realize that just because we are still students, we cannot make any difference at all.
- How would that make you as a person?It made me someone being able to do the thing I thought I cannot do before. The compassion I have for nature has evolved a lot making me more responsible to take care of it more. It also made me a person because it urged me to promote proper care and preservation of the natural resources for the world. There are a lot of things we can do and all of us can act as voices of nature to sustain our natural resources in a positive way.
