Which of the following describes Dna replication

Answers 1

DNA replication is the process in making two identical sets of DNA in which the strands of original DNA is used as template in replicating one new sets of DNA in a conservative way.

DNA replication occurs since the cell of our body undergo cell division in which one parent cell is divided into two daughter cells. The DNA of the parent cells should be replicated to be distributed into the daughter cells.

There are important enzyme  needed for the DNA replication possible:

  1. Helicase - Used to separate the DNA strand creating replication fork
  2. Primase - used to create primer
  3. DNA Polymerase - used to build DNA strand
  4. Exonuclease - Used to remove the primer in the logging strand
  5. DNA ligase - Used to seal the new complete strand of DNA
