I stare at an empty void for what feels like hours; the only thoughts occurring to my mind being to run, fight, or fawn. And for some reason, I chose to fight. The enemy laughed at me as though I made a dark-humored joke, and I sigh, whipping out my sword. ‘This shouldn’t take long.’ I thought, eyeing the monster with a furious glare.At least I hoped it won’t. But who knows? It could take ages to retrieve the stone.
