I am a liberal, so I believe that the Philippines should have an independent foreign policy. We were always under the shadow of China’s influence, and we need to be more self-reliant.
I am also a Christian, so I support Pres. Duterte's pivot to China because he has been very clear about his policy about the country's alliance with America and China. He is willing to take risks in order for our countrymen to get their rightful share from China's investments in our country. The Chinese investments have already started and will be completed within few years, which means that we are now standing on the threshold of a golden era for our people.
I also believe that it is time for us Filipinos to become more self-reliant in all aspects of life including politics, economics, security and diplomacy. We should not depend on anyone except ourselves; we should be ready for whatever challenges may come because we can handle them on our own without any help from anybody else except God Himself.
