Most youths in our days doesn't really delve in the subject of history since sometimes it can taught in quite a boring manner when your tasked to remember key names from every period small events that particularly occurred and that alone can be a great downside when tackling historical distortion in social media since the youths won't know what is true or not and they'll only believe in what seems to be the easiest explanation of all and when they do that they fall into a trap of historical lies but they would rather believe those historical lies because it was the easiest explanation while true explanation that was taught in school is forgotten because it was too confusing for most youths that they had barely "fully" understood what the topic was.
So Answer in is general, teach the youths especially the real young ones from elementary the "Fun Fundamentals" of history, don't confuse them from the main topic by names or certain events, let them enjoy history and I'm quite sure most of them will like that way because they can learn and understand the topic better. Since history is a big story book filled with epic battles and tales.
Other answers are: Provide a substantial amount of true facts of the topic and explain it in a light brief way, provide links to proper historical articles to counter the lies from the historical distortion.
